As most of you know by now, I've sustained damage to the nerves in my ears, called - Hyperacusis - (see -http://www.hyperacusis.net/hyperacusis/what+is+hyperacusis/default.asp) therefore, I have to permanently cut back on live performances unless again, some miracle occurs that changes these problems. So I will still continue to play out live, only less frequently, and I will also be focusing more on writing and working on my next CD and my own musical projects in my home studio. I've got a lot of material that I plan to begin work on, and the feel and sound of the next CD will be along the lines of Indigo Girls' "Strange Fire" and Kristen Hall's "Real Life Stuff" - more acoustic and stripped down like when I was playing coffeehouses and more folk-type venues back in my college days. It?s been brought to my attention that I have been fortunate enough to have met and occasionally hung out with some very cool (and famous) people, (Clay Aiken, Kimberley Locke, Sonny Landreth, just to name a few). You can check out my brushes with fame in the PHOTOS section. There will also be more photos (some very old and some newer) of me and Suburban Gypsies (back in the day), and a lot more pictures slowly but surely being added ? so check back soon and check back often! That's it - hope to see you soon - peace! Mia
